Phyllis North Lingwall (Gramma)

Phyllis North Lingwall 1918 ~ 2009 Phyllis North Lingwall, 91, passed away December 3, 2009, of natural causes incident to her age. She was born January 18, 1918, to George William North and Annie Greenwood. She lived all her life in the Liberty Stake where she fell in love with Karl E. Lingwall. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 13, 1942. Karl passed away on May 9, 2000. Phyllis is survived by her four children, David K. (Carla), Barbara (Ingo) Schmidt, Jon E. (Pat), and Janet (Gerry) Graves. She has 22 grandchildren, and 39 great-grand children and they were the focus of her life. Phyllis was employed by Mountain Bell as a long distance operator for 20 years and has held many Stake and Ward callings in Relief Society and Primary. She has also served as ward organist. But, her favorite calling was as the Primary pianist where she played her testimony every week through the beautiful songs the children sang. She is greatly loved and will be greatly missed. There will be a viewing Sunday, December 6, 2009, at Larkin Mortuary (260 E. South Temple) from 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, December 7, 2009, at the Liberty Ward (445 E.
